By eliminating the highly competitive environments at grass root levels, our young children are allowed grow in confidence and refrain from becoming discouraged by defeat. As they grow, these fundamental skills prepare them for realistic competition. At later developmental stages, teaching kids how to positively react to defeat in the correct manner is imperative. Realistic objectives should always be set, and motives introduced for kids to achieve success in game-like activities.
